Jabalpur (Madhya Pradesh):
A high-voltage domestic dispute unfolded inside a hotel in Jabalpur after a woman tracked her husband down, caught him inside a room with another woman, and repeatedly slapped both of them. The confrontation caused a significant commotion on the premises, prompting hotel staff to alert the police, who intervened to bring the situation under control.
Tracked Through Phone Chats
The wife, identified as Savita Yadav, had reportedly suspected her husband, Arun Yadav, of having an extramarital affair with a woman named Jyoti Kori for about a year.
Her suspicions were confirmed when she accessed text messages on his mobile phone revealing plans for a rendezvous at a local hotel. Savita followed Arun to the venue, had the room door opened, and reportedly found the two together in what she described as a compromising situation.
Heated Confrontation and Assault
Enraged by the sight, Savita lost her temper and engaged in a fiery altercation, slapping both Arun and Jyoti repeatedly inside the room. The loud argument and commotion drew the attention of hotel guests and staff, who quickly notified law enforcement.
Officers arrived shortly after, separated both parties, and restored order on the property.
Blackmail Allegations
Savita alleged to the police that her husband and Jyoti had been in an affair for a considerable period. She further claimed that Jyoti was blackmailing Arun, which had led him to increasingly distance himself from his wife and family.
Police stated that they are examining the allegations made by Savita. However, neither side had filed a formal written complaint at the time the police issued their statement.
