Woman Calls Lover Home at Night When Husband is Away and Cuts His Private Parts!
A shocking incident has occurred in Santacruz East, Mumbai. During New Year celebrations, a married woman allegedly invited her lover home and, enraged by his refusal to marry her, severed his private parts with a sharp weapon. The accused is Kanchan Rakesh Mahato (age 25), and the victim is Joginder Lakhan Mahato (age approximately 42-45).
Background of the Relationship
The accused and the victim are family relatives — Joginder is the brother of the accused's sister-in-law, police said. They had been in an illicit relationship for about 7 years. Both are married and have children. Kanchan repeatedly pressured Joginder to leave his wife and marry her, but he refused.
The issue led to arguments, and in November 2025, Joginder cut off contact and returned to his native place in Bihar. However, due to persistent calls and threats from Kanchan, he returned to Mumbai on December 19.
Details of the Incident
The incident took place around 1:30 AM on January 1, 2026. Kanchan called Joginder and invited him home, saying, “I have sweets and cake for the New Year.” When he arrived, the children were asleep. The argument over marriage escalated again, and in a fit of rage, Kanchan attacked his private parts with a sharp knife.
Severely injured, Joginder managed to escape and informed his brother. He was first admitted to V.N. Desai Hospital and later transferred to Sion Hospital. Emergency surgery was performed, and he is recovering.
Police Action and Case
A case has been registered at Vakola Police Station under Section 118(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (causing grievous hurt with a weapon) and other sections. The accused is absconding, and police have sent a team to Bihar to search for her. CCTV footage is being examined.
This incident has sparked serious discussion about the intense emotional stress and violence that can arise from extramarital affairs. Relationships between family relatives leading to such tragic events serve as a warning to society.
