Sons Murder Own Father with Snake Bite for ₹3 Crore Insurance Money

Tiruvallur: A shocking murder has come to light in Tamil Nadu's Tiruvallur district, where sons allegedly killed their own father by arranging a snake bite to swindle approximately ₹3 crore in insurance money. Police have arrested six people in total, including the deceased's two sons, in connection with the case.

The victim was Ganesh (56), a government school laboratory assistant and resident of Pothatturpettai. On October 22, Ganesh was sleeping at home when a snake reportedly bit him on the neck, causing his death. Initially, it appeared to be an accidental death.
However, there were as many as 11 insurance policies in Ganesh's name, leading insurance companies to raise suspicions about his death. This triggered the revelation of the truth.

During the police investigation, it emerged that Ganesh had been involved in an accident a few weeks prior to his death. Becoming suspicious, police examined documents and phone records, confirming that Ganesh's sons were in contact with individuals who supplied the snake.
The accused had meticulously planned to bring the snake and make it bite their father while he was in deep sleep, staging the death as an accident.

The accused confessed to committing the crime out of greed for the ₹3 crore insurance payout. Police have currently arrested Ganesh's two sons and four accomplices, with the investigation ongoing.
The public has expressed strong outrage over this incident, where a father was sacrificed for monetary gain.
