Bengaluru: Bodybuilder ends life after girlfriend hands over wedding card

Bengaluru: A bodybuilder reportedly took his own life in Mahalakshmi Layout after the woman he loved decided to marry someone else and gave him her wedding invitation card.

Kiran (26), a bodybuilder, was found dead after he hanged himself at his home. It is said that he had been in a relationship with a woman for the past three years. However, after her marriage was fixed with another man, Kiran mentioned her and her mother’s names in a death note before taking his life.

The woman had told Kiran that her marriage had been fixed with another man and had shown him the wedding invitation card and a new saree. Disturbed by this, Kiran returned home and ended his life. Mahalakshmi Layout police visited the spot, conducted an inspection, and after post-mortem at Victoria Hospital, the body was handed over to the family.

Kiran, who had been a gym trainer and bodybuilder for several years, was also preparing to give his girlfriend a gift for Valentine’s Day. However, he was shocked after learning about her marriage plans and took a drastic decision.

On the evening before the incident, Kiran had asked his mother for a white sheet and a pen. When she asked why, he reportedly said, “Don’t worry, I am writing finance accounts.” Following the incident, Kiran’s family has filed a complaint against the woman and her family at Mahalakshmi Layout police station, and investigation is underway.
